Year 1 had an amazing visit to the Arusha, Sikh Temple. First we met the Priest and had a tour of the Gurdwara. We showed respect by wearing scarves to cover our heads and we took off our shoes when entering the temple, this was all very new and exciting for us. The Priests then serenaded us with some beautiful songs in Punjabi and showed us the Holy Book’s bedroom. The children drew detailed pictures of the ornate building and the altar where the holy book is read. We are very thankful to Mrs. Jandu for providing a fun filled snack and making this opportunity possible for us.
